PAST NEGOTIATIONS COMMUNICATIONS

November 21, 2019 - District and HATA Negotiations teams met together to discuss re-openers for 2020-2021. Articles to be discussed are Articles 10 Hours, 11 Compensation, 12 Benefits, 13 Class Size and 18 Evaluation. Initial interests were brought up, several of which are shared by both parties, including working collaboratively towards improving teacher salary and benefits. The District presented an overview of District finances and HATA presented recent bargaining settlements in the area. Both teams will follow up with school site staff (HATA) and administration (HUSD) for feedback on certain items discussed. Future negotiations sessions have been scheduled for December 2, January 23 and February 27.
 

December 1, 2019 - HATA and District have agreed to lower class size language at MBA;
A subcommittee has been formed to work on Article 18 Evaluation Tools;
Have continued discussions in Article 10, 13 and 18;
HJH’s 7-period schedule needs a vote before mid-February;
The District heard CTA’s presentation on Salary and Benefits;
The District intends to have a proposal for Salary and Benefits at the January session.
