Educational Services

Healdsburg Unified School District’s Educational Services department supports the work of teachers and staff to ensure that every student learns, grows, and thrives. Our department coordinates curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning across all HUSD schools, guided by our district’s focus on Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships.

We believe that great teaching starts with collaboration. Through our Professional Learning Community (PLC) process, educators work together to identify essential standards, analyze student learning, and plan responsive instruction. This collaborative work is supported by a strong Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) that ensures each student receives what they need to succeed.

Educational Services also oversees district-wide initiatives such as early literacy and math curriculum implementation, arts integration, technology and digital learning, new course submissions, and expanded learning opportunities beyond the school day. Using data from multiple sources, we celebrate student growth, identify areas for improvement, and ensure equitable access to high-quality instruction for every learner.
