Becky Bebber

She graduated from HHS and Empire College and continued to take computer classes at SRJC. She has worked for the Healdsburg School District since 1988 starting out as the registrar at Healdsburg Junior High School and later transferring to Healdsburg High School. Becky and her husband, Phil, have two grown children, Chalmers and Lainie, who graduated from HHS, played high school and college sports and earned degrees in business and kinesiology. They have one granddaughter, Payton, who is two year’s old and lots of fun. They enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and diving.

Ilene Frommer

Ilene Frommer, MA, has a Bachelors Degree and teaching credential from the University of California at Los Angeles in Mathematics/Psychology. She also received a Masters Degree in Counseling from Sonoma State University obtaining a Pupil Personnel Certificate and a Marriage Family Therapist License. She is currently completing UCLA’s Certified College Counseling Program. Before counseling at Healdsburg High School, Ilene counseled at Healdsburg Junior High School, Marce Becerra Academy, Foss Creek Elementary and Healdsburg Elementary Schools. Ilene has worked in our district for more than 24 years. Ilene is married to Eric Schlaeppi, a Swiss music teacher, who she met in Mexico while improving her Spanish speaking skills. They have twin daughters, Marie and Nicole, who are bilingual thanks to our tremendous immersion program.When she is not counseling, Ilene enjoys Taekwondo and is currently striving for her black belt. She also enjoys traveling to various countries, speaking Spanish, playing mah jongg and spending precious time with her family.

Ever Flores

Mr. Ever Flores-Deras, MA, was born and raised in El Salvador, Central America. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 13 and resided in San Francisco, California where he attended middle school and high school. Upon graduation from high school he attended Sonoma State University where he received his Bachelor's of Arts degree and later his Master's of Arts degree in School Counseling, with a Pupil Personnel Service Credential. He also completed UC Berkeley’s Certified College and Career Planning Program and plans to start his doctorate sometime in the near future. He lived in New York City for a couple of years where he also registered with the State and received his license to practice school counseling for the state of New York. He is an active member of the Sonoma County School Counselors Association and the American School Counselors Association (ASCA). He was the school counselor for Fitch Mountain for 4 consecutive years; he also worked as the counselor for Healdsburg Junior High, Marce Becerra Academy and Healdsburg Elementary. In addition to being a counselor, since 2001 Mr. Flores has been the director of the summer school program Adelante hosted at SRJC. Mr. Flores is bilingual (Spanish/English) /bicultural and enjoys helping students from all backgrounds. He also enjoys learning new languages and traveling to new and exciting places. Sylvia Todd

Sylvia Todd has been the teacher/advisor of the Peer Resources Program since 1989 and an active member of the California Association of Peer Programs until 2004. She has served as a mentor/advisor to other schools’ peer programs. Her passion is to empower young people to live healthy lives and to support them in applying the skills to help others. She is currently pursuing certification as a Personal Coach.

Laurie Nimmo

Laurie Nimmo is the Scholarship Coordinator and Director of the McCord Career Center. Having attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and completing her education at Cal State Long Beach, she holds a BA in Human Development and Social Sciences as well as her California Teaching Credential. She has just completed her Certificate in College Admissions and Career Counseling from UC Berkeley. She has been in her position at Healdsburg High School for seven years. She began her career in education by teaching public elementary school for six years in Southern California and for two years in a private elementary school in Northern California. In Healdsburg, she has done private tutoring and co-directed the My Body Is Healthy Program in the local elementary schools for four years prior to coming to the high school. Laurie is married to Jeff Nimmo, a custom home-builder and they have two children, Caitlin and Ian, who went through the Healdsburg Schools including the elementary immersion program. In her free time she loves to travel with family, kayak, garden and read.

Bilingual Office Assistant

Martha Vera graduated from Healdsburg Schools. She is presently taking classes on Child Development Classes from SRJC. Martha has worked for the Healdsburg School District for 22 years. She started working as a Bilingual Instructional Assistant at Fitch Mountain and Healdsburg Elementary Schools and is currently working as a Bilingual Office Assistant at Healdsburg Elementary School and Healdsburg High School. Martha is Bilingual and Bicultural and loves to use the Spanish language to help students and parents. She also loves to work with little children. Martha and her husband, Tino, have four grandchildren and two grown boys who also graduated from Healdsburg High School where they played soccer and basketball. They are very involved in the community through St. John's Catholic Church.
