New Look For District Website
The Healdsburg School District has redesigned its website (www.husd.com) to bring more up-to-date information about district activities to the community. The most exciting aspect of the new design is that it provides a forum for members of the School Board and administration to post information to the public directly. They are very interested in providing the public with expanded information about many current hot topics and important decisions. They are planning to submit articles to the website on a regular basis addressing these topics. The School Board is even considering adding a standing agenda item to their meetings at which time they will discuss which issues should be written for the website and who should write them.

 

The new homepage is now divided into 4 sections, each designed to focus on a specific type of news. The Announcements section is for brief information about upcoming events, recent decisions or new opportunities. The District News section holds more in-depth articles about newsworthy topics. Articles in the Hot Topics section will address issues of top concern to the district and the community. And finally, Noteworthy Staff highlights staff members who have been recognized for exceptional contributions to the district. The District News, Hot Topics and Newsworthy Staff sections also include archives of past articles so it is always possible to review previously submitted articles. 

Another feature of the new design is a new page devoted to district committees. It lists both standing and temporary committees, describes their purpose, membership, meeting schedule, agendas and minutes (when available). The current set of temporary committees are all related to the construction projects currently underway as a result of the passage of Measures G & H. With this information, the public may now keep track of the progress of each of these committees by either attending their meetings or reading the minutes as they are posted.
