Community Support Programs

In addition to the regular general fund instructional programs, there are numerous educational support programs which are funded by special programs or grants.

There are also several parent/student organizations which offer support to specific schools and activities.

And there are many on-going prevention and intervention programs provided at the elementary level. See description of current grants funding these programs.

The Superintendent's Communications Committee is composed of parent volunteers, teachers and school board members. The committee meets regularly during the school year to identify and improve communication needs within the school district, to produce literature and web content for the public and to develop methods for the school district to receive information back from the community. The committee coordinates the HUSD column published in the Healdsburg Tribune and replies to school site Suggestion Box submissions.

The Community Service Projects Clearinghouse is a place where members of the community can record projects that require help from students and students can look to find projects that will fulfill their community service requirement.
